Starlight Explorers (2022 – PC – Unity3D)

With several shipped titled working for large studios, I and a couple friends wanted to try our hand at shipping a game independently, to work through the process and understanding the details from start to finish. To that end, I took the core mechanics and mission of Orbital Slingshot and turned them into Starlight Explorers, with markedly improved presentation and gameplay, as well as a complete story with relatable protagonists to further the game’s goal of encouraging young women to pursue careers in STEM fields.

On this project I did everything except writing, character art, and UI art. So…game design, tech art, vfx, engineering, engineering, coordinating localization, and marketing. Which isn’t to say that I’m a master of any of those new skillsets, but I enjoyed the opportunity to learn the basics of all of them.
